Xprinter

Xprinter is a PostScript/PCL Language Library that provides a printing mechanism for X-Window System applications. Xprinter is for developers who are programming to the Xlib API. Xprinter allows developers to add PostScript/PCL support to their applications without having to learn either printer language. Powerful PostScript/PCL graphics and text capabilities can be accessed via a familar C function interface. Xprinter implements a logical printer server that looks just like an X-Window server to the application. This server supports all PostScript/PCL fonts, pixmaps, colormaps, and graphics contexts. Xprinter offers complete PostScript/PCL capability for an application with minimal changes to the application source code.
